Question
Please don't misunderstand me. I am not being sarcastic here.
Suppose I drop something on the floor, like a small screw, and can't find it anymore. Do you think that meditation can help me find it?
What I think can help is to vacuum the whole floor and then empty the vacuumed materials into s shallow basin and then search for the object. If the object is heavy and will not be spoiled by water, then washing the whole vacuumed material will leave the object at the bottom of the basin used for washing.
This solution is arrived at by thinking systematically, taking into account first the problem, then the other incidentals like the object to be found, the circumstances of its loss.
Is meditation like that, thinking systematically on a matter, like a problem in the household.
Or is it what?
It is thinking before anything else.... But how is the thinking done in meditation?

Answer
Meditation puts you in touch with higher self, yes, and that higher self is more aware. You use that Intuitive gift already analyzing, and "figureing it out", but if you cant figure it out, then thats where the ESP, awareness BECAUSE you have been meditating, will lead you to those little items you have lost.
Some folks are born with it, this time, others will go that progression this time, because meditation is now the "IN" thing to do, so more and more folks will pick up on progression this time. When magic happens in many aspects of life thru going into higher realms, then one loves, wants to continue what be right in our mundane world. Also, on the way, if a sincere person, one becomes a better person, if one acknowledges that ALL people ARE psychic to more or lesser degrees, and consciously may be able to read your mind, read your body language, attitude, way of speaking, ect., and goes the saying that GOD/GODDESS is omnipresent. We want to be better people with that reality.
You have to gain wisdom as you go, know the truths, and act, think, accordingly.
You may use meditation in any form you want, for any reason, but one finds the answers if one looks beyond the mundane, and lets problems "sit" as long as possible. Some problems thru your quandry of answers will take care of themselves, and others, one must continue to wonder, and ask for the answers, and time, all take time. Perhaps, a lifetime. ;-)
Or you must make quick decisions, no matter, and go with the flow. Not all times will one go with the flow, and that doesn't mean its wrong, either, we have all our choices, hence confusion.
You are sailing a ship called Earth, and it has certain rules to live by, or hit choppy waters. Prepare, and go on, no matter, it is your lesson, your reason for being. Peace
