How can I meditate to become enlightened? I am a Christian and want to start right away. I simply need instructions to start so I don't do it wrong.

What do you mean by enlightened? In my view this might mean different things to different people. I've discussed this kind of question with a prominent Buddhist teacher of meditation (E. Raymond Rock, who also has a book coming out this fall on the same topic). I think he would be the one to ask. He's a very nice guy, so why not visit his website and contact him.
