meditation

Question
Hello Mr. James!

I'd like to start practicing zen meditation. I know what posture should I take to do this, but I'd like to ask you what should I focus on when already doing this. What's most important when you're trying to meditate: breathing, being relaxed, eyes etc. What's most important, how to do it in the right way. Could you give me any directions?

thank you

Answer
Dear Lucas

The classic buddhist meditation is sitting down, either in lotus position or on a chair, eyes open. Focus on breathing is most important, while in any meditation you must relax. There is no right way or wrong way to meditate. Happy meditating.
