Question
When I meditate all I see is the most breath taking colors that I cant even discribe. What does this mean

Answer
Hello Don,

Thank you for your question. There are many possibilities for the experience you have during meditation. Without knowing the circumstances of your practice, it is difficult to say what the colors mean. The colors can represent any number of events. They can be an experiencing of seeing what is in the room during your practice that cannot be physically seen. The colors could mean a non-physical entity attempting to get your attention. They could mean your body is communicating with you in this way to share information of how it is functioning or not functioning. There are a gamut of possibilities.

There is a technique for determining the purpose of the colors. The technique is a questioning technique. You start by asking the colors to show you one at a time what it's purpose is. You then ask each color who or what it represents. Take note during this process how your body feels. If the process is comfortable then continue with questioning the colors. Why is it showing itself to you? How long has the color been with you? There are an endless number of questions you can ask to gain clarity and insight into the meaning of the colors. I would ask that you consider however that prior to beginning your session that you set the intention that only "that which is beneficial" presents itself to you. Setting that intention will allow for greater clarity. I hope this has been helpful. I wish you much luck in your practices. Be well.
